Boston Baked Beans


I was really excited for these beans. At five hours in they were tasting very good. The last hour however when I cooked them uncovered they dried out and got hard. There could be a lot of reasons for that. My oven tends to run hotter than the Price’s oven in general. I could have used more basting liquid for the amount of beans. And also, maybe six hours was just too long. The lesson that I learned and that I need to start applying, is to measure my own common sense with the recipe directions to defend myself from these problems in the future. Still a pretty good recipe, although I think I would shop around if I ever want to try baked beans again.
